Rockin' Rio 2011 for Women by Escada

I decided to splurge on some perfume about 2 weeks ago out of pure boredom mixed with incredible stress due to school exams/projects/presentations. I initially went in wanting to buy the Marc Jacobs perfume with the lady bug pattern (forgot what it's called) but saw the Escada one instead. 

The Escada perfume retails for $80 for 100 ml where as Marc Jacobs retails for $80 for 50 ml. The fact that I was getting more for my money made me go for Escada. Take note that the Escada is an "eau de toilette" perfume rather than an "eau de parfum". The difference? Toilette doesn't last as long as a parfum, therefore making parfum's more expensive.

As for the smell, I'd say it's a mix of fruity and floral. It's a combination of tropical coconut, pina colada and pineapple with notes of tango, tangerine, papaya, sugar cane and peach. The site also says it includes driftwood and sandalwood. 

I personally think it's a sexy scent. It's fruity yet not juvenile because it has that hint of floral. The great thing about eau de toilette formulas is that you can spray a little more than needed and it won't be too overbearing compared to an eau de parfum. 

I go to school 3 - 6 hours a day and unfortunately, the scent is almost or completely gone by the time I get home. I guess I should invest in one of those travelos. I will however be purchasing this one again.
